Assume positive intent
If it’s a hot button, start by looking for what’s important before looking for evidence or arguing
Choose curiosity instead of judgment
Taking care to communicate in a way that helps listener(s) stay present instead of sending them into threat assessment and defend mode.
Move from conflict to dilemma
